The Why…

The landscapes and colors that captivate me are the primary inspiration behind my artwork. My coastal influences will always be an anchor, as the beach is where I find true peace. When painting scenes of oysters and water, my aim is for viewers to not only see the imagery but to feel the salty air and be transported to their best memories of the ocean.

My abstract work has evolved over time, aiming to capture both the beauty and the unrest that defines our daily lives. It’s about creating a space where color and form come together to evoke tranquility, while also embracing the freedom of expression that resists being boxed in. I paint so I may embrace freedom, movement, and emotion—creating a space where chaos and peace coexist. leaving room for the viewer to interpret and connect in their own way.

The mantra is that-there’s duality in everything we do. Just as art can be gentle and serene, it can also be an untamed chaos, completely free from the constraints of perfectionism or censorship. The why? is also the “why not?” Why not splatter paint on a canvas and release the tension of the day? Why not try to capture the beauty of a sunset and bring calmness to your mind? I believe we all crave the freedom to let go and to embrace art on our own terms.
